The Truth about the Antioxidant Antiaging
Link
The low down antioxidant antiaging
For about three decades now there is a debate regarding the
link between antioxidants and anti aging process. Many
researchers are of the opinion that there is a very strong
connection between these two elements. In order to get a
suitable answer to this question, you need to first find out
what the antioxidants are?
What Is an Antioxidant?
Every body has within his/her body oxidants in the form of
free radicals. These free radicals have the ability to carry
oxygen and combine with almost all the cells in the body. As
they mix in this way inside the body, they would create maximum
damage to whichever cells they happen to encounter. Now,
if you are young this would not bother you too much as the dead
cells would be very soon substituted with new ones; the body
has the capacity to regenerate cells fast.
However, if you are on the threshold of middle age or later,
the free radicals can create some heavy damage because the
cells in your body would not reproduce as soon as when you were
young, allowing the skin to sag and wrinkle and permitting
further damage to the internal organs. For an accurate
representation of what the free radicals can do, cut a slice of
an apple and leave it exposed for about five minutes and then
notice the change.
The antioxidants do exactly the opposite the oxidants do –
hence, they are listed among the priority elements in any anti
aging program. There is a definite antioxidant antiaging link
up, as the antioxidant usually reverses what the oxidants harm
inside and outside the body. If oxidization means aging, then
anti-oxidization means the reverse. This makes the antioxidant
antiaging link very clear, i.e. antioxidation means not only
prevention but also fighting antiaging to preserve the health
and youth of the cells.
The Antioxidant Antiaging Foods
What in our opinion is one of the best sources that contain
antioxidant antiaging elements? The answer is red wine.
There have been many, many research studies which have agreed
that oxidization does indeed cause aging while the opposite is
true with the antioxidant antiaging methods and varied
elements. People drinking red wine on a regular basis have
benefited from better sleep, less skin dryness and wrinkles,
least aging and lastly radian skin.
You can also get antioxidants from the regular vegetables;
the colored vegetables – such as carrots, tomatoes, cabbage,
water melon, broccoli, cucumber and so on are supposed to have
more than the plain green ones. Berries out of all the
foods in the world are very rich in antioxidants. Consuming
just a handful of goji beries (for example) can change you for
the better within a few weeks. Other rich sources of
antioxidants are found in sea food.
